How We Research Providers

We research every provider listed on our site through a combination of:

• Direct enquiry to providers for current rates, terms, and product details
• Publicly available rate cards, product pages, and regulatory filings
• Independent broker and industry data sources
• UK Finance industry statistics and ABFA (Asset Based Finance Association) data
• Companies House filings for corporate background
• FCA register for regulatory status

How We Rank Providers

Our provider rankings are based on six equally-weighted criteria:

1. Cost competitiveness — service charges and discount charges relative to market
2. Advance rates — percentage of invoice value advanced
3. Setup speed — time from application to first funding
4. Minimum turnover — accessibility to smaller businesses
5. Contract flexibility — term length, exit provisions, early termination
6. Specialist expertise — dedicated teams for specific industries

Editorial Independence

Provider rankings are determined by our editorial team based on the criteria above. Providers cannot pay to influence their ranking position. A provider that pays us a referral fee receives the same assessment as one that does not.

Our revenue model is described on our How We Are Funded page. We earn referral fees when users request quotes and subsequently take out facilities. This commercial relationship does not affect rankings.

Update Schedule

We review and update our comparison data on the following schedule:

• Monthly: Rate checks on all listed providers, "Last updated" dates refreshed
• Quarterly: Full provider reassessment including new entrants and exits
• As needed: Immediate updates when providers announce significant changes
